At AFP’s recent Digital Fundraising session, participants learned the do’s and don’ts of this evolving field. Sponsored by Generopolis, Katie Stuckenschneider, from Forest Park Forever shared practical and insightful guidance to a large crowd.
The many tips included:
- Create donor personas to target communications
- Conduct platform research to find the right avenue to reach each type of audience
- Make sure your efforts are part of an integrated communications strategy across all departments
- Explore! There are a million new digital tools and resources out there to help you, i.e. Instagram stories, donation stickers, google ad words, Facebook fundraisers (no fees)
- Provide a digital toolkit for your organization’s key influencers, i.e. Board members, donors, and volunteers to increase engagement
