AFP St. Louis - A place to START, a place to GROW, a place to LEAD

Since 1975, AFP St. Louis has been an important part of our region’s nonprofit community. Our chapter has contributed greatly to the career development of generations of fundraisers—including you. As a result, we are approaching you and others to ask for your support of AFP-STL so our chapter can continue to grow and thrive.

AFP-STL makes it possible for fundraisers to stay current, to be connected through mentoring, to share a broader network, and to access the support necessary to thrive. Today, our hope is to create a sustainable base of member support for AFP-STL to benefit our chapter for years to come.

As a seasoned philanthropic leader, your support of our chapter is vital. You know first-hand the value of your membership. You remember what it did for you as a “newbie” and as you progressed throughout your career. AFP-STL is always there, and it is imperative that it continues to serve our profession for future fundraisers. We need your partnership to ensure AFP-STL maintains a position to support all of us, and to welcome new fundraisers through diverse and inclusive learning opportunities.

Thank you for generously giving your time and expertise to help others grow and succeed.

AFP St. Louis is where many fundraisers START their professional development journey as they enter the nonprofit industry.

  • Learning the basics of fundraising
  • Feeling comfortable asking questions
  • Connecting with other fundraisers
  • Being mentored by advanced professionals

AFP creates a space where you can GROW in your career

  • You were mentored as you sought to advance your career
  • You made more and more connections
  • Your AFP network connected you to that next job
  • You learned advanced techniques in fundraising and in building relationships

AFP offers an opportunity to LEAD

  • Being a mentor and supporting others along your career path
  • Expanding your network of peers, colleagues, and friends
  • Serving on an AFP committee and adding even more skills to your repertoire
  • Utilizing your AFP contacts to add fundraising talent to your own organization

Please consider your gift as an investment in the pipeline of the next generation of fundraisers.  Your support will help solidify our chapter's financial stability now and in the future.  Most importantly, your generosity will enable the AFP St. Louis Chapter to offer meaningful programming that is relevant and inclusive.  Together, we can establish a sustainable future for our chapter and for our shared profession.

Thank you for your consideration,
